-01 & -02 “Air-Squeeze” Seal Install Manual
Use Masking Tape to temp help hold the –01 or –02 seal in place, allowing you get “FEEL” how/where
seal will look. USE Masking Tape for ONLY a few minutes to help YOU see how the Seal will compress.
This Manual is included when Purchasing either the –01 & -02 or JUST the –02 Pictured below
Begin at bottom front of Door with the –02 Black/Brown Seal, continue up on the leading
Edge on the leading edge of the door near the hinges. The air-chamber seal goes where the gaps are the smallest, which will be determine by the installer. The Brown or Black
–02 Seal should be installed with DOOR on the aircraft, but the Door MUST be removed to get all the old seal off 1st . Use a heat-gun & putty-knife to remove old seal, then reinstall the door with NO seal at all present and mark where the Gaps are the widest, usually on the rear of the door…This would be a good time to install the Brown/Black –02 Seal, with the door in-place. Then remove door again to install the Black –01 “Squeeze-Out” (-01 $29.95 Opt-Seal, not included if you did not purchase.) Follow the instruction in the -01 manual for installing the –01 “Squeeze-Out” Form-Fitting Memory Cell-Seal.
The Black –02 can be split down the center with razor, in half for 17 total feet. ← Look; you can make THREE air-chambers rows wide where your door gaps need more material. You should need only ONE Chamber up near the Hinges. Use the remaining halve for the rear of the door, if you did not purchase the Opt –01 Seal. Additional –02 seal ONLY $20 Limit (1)…Baggage Door?
Align Black or Brown Seal “Air-Chambers to compress Against Airframe Door-Jam when Door is closed, to achieve an air-lock.
Allow 24-48 hours with Door-Closed for all Seals to form-fit.
Remove any & all-old seal first. This is the -02↓ install fwd near the hinges.
Clean all surface with MEK prior to Appling seal. Take care not to contaminate the stick-side;
Otherwise the Seal will delaminate in time.
In time (6 months), glue-it in, with 3-M Glue or any Polyurethane Glue $2.79 at Home Depot
Install the –01 “Squeeze-Out” on the rear and bottom of door where the Gaps are the largest.
Use double back tape as temporary adhesive.

-02 “Air-Chamber” Seal Install Manual
Use Masking Tape to temp help hold the –01 or –02 seal in place, allowing you get “FEEL” how/where
seal will look. USE Masking ↓ Tape for ONLY a few minutes to help YOU see how the Seal will compress.
Only ONE Air-Chamber is needed up near the Hinges. Use Razor ↑ to relocate the removed chamber to the rear of the door, to make THREE-Chambers if needed. Example: Three here ↓ Air-Chambers, if needed
Align the Air-Chambers to compress Against Airframe Door-Jam when Door is closed, to achieve an air-lock. 17 Feet Total of Air-Chambers (8 ½ Feet per roll of Twin Chambers) ONLY one Air-Chamber is needed at most locations of your door, however: use two, or three Air-Chambers where needed. Split down the center.
NO two doors are the same. So you will need to determine how many Air-Chambers will be needed…and where. The Peel n’ Stick Tape is NOT intended to be permanent . Use appropriate adhesive

Also; The Peel n’ Stick Tape is NOT intended to be the method of Gluing in the seal. Cessna, Piper, Beech …All of the Aircraft Companies sell their Seal with NO Glue or Peel n’ Stick.
We provided Peel n’ Stick Tape as an aid to temporarily stick the seal helping you to locate the correct place

Use Heat Gun, wire Brush and MEK to remove all the OLD Seal.
Remove old seal: it’s ugly work, but it all must go.
Make sure to clean the “Door-Channel” with strong cleaner. Tip:
Heat-Gun speeds up the removal process. Take care NOT to damage the window, and paint. Use soft blankets.
The Double-Back Tape included is ONLY intended for Temporarily use…Glue the seal in.
Also the tape might arrive delaminated, just stick it back-on.
Remember that the Twin Chambers is Split into two to Make THREE Air-Chambers where the Gaps are Larger.

application letter dated April 19, 2005, meet the airworthiness requirements of the regulations applicable
to the products on which the parts are to be installed. Additionally, it has been determined that Avtek has
established the fabrication inspection system required by part 21 § 21.303(h)
at 25230 45th Ave S Kent, WA 98032. Accordingly, Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA)
is hereby granted for production of the replacement parts listed in the enclosed Supplement No. 3.
